They are provided a return label to print out, also at the seller’s expense. The tracking number only needs to arrive at the sellers location to confirm.You read that right, all they have to do is ship something back to the seller. The automated system issues a refund as soon as the buyer ships a package back to the seller. The seller could have thousands of positive transactions in their history & a new buyer to the platform can pull this trick as soon as they are eligible to use their account.
In many cases these employees have no access to internal systems or other reports related to any given case. The eBay appeals process involves bargaining with a loop of customer service bots and call center employees. How about if they ship back a box of bricks or rocks? They get their money anyway & the seller gets to file an appeal.

They’re out to take your goods and they know they will mostly likely succeed.The problem isn’t that eBay wants to offer buyers protection. When they wait three weeks to use the ‘Not as described’ option behind your back, they know exactly what they’re doing.

It is incredibly effective & it would be difficult to believe it wasn’t done by design.It has certainly been an interesting nineteen years on the platform and we don’t intend to quit anytime soon. You might also feel it has been setup to encourage you to throw your hands up and just go away. You should spend some time looking at eBay’s current help systems for sellers. The agent had no access to records of that report & we haven’t heard from anyone at eBay in weeks.
You might just avoid finding yourself caught out when a return does pop up. For the moment, maybe hang-on to any big money for the thirty days after your sales are delivered. But, if you’re paying attention you can usually avoid the bigger headaches and make a few dollars along the way.
